The Meaning Behind My Most Collected Prints

Art is more than just décor—it’s a way of connecting, expressing, and reflecting. Every painting begins with a story, a spark of inspiration, and a message that finds its way from my hands to your home.

As I think about the prints that have traveled far and wide—now living in bedrooms, entryways, and sacred spaces—I’m deeply moved by the connections they’ve created. Below, I’m sharing the heart behind three of my most collected prints. Each one holds its own unique rhythm, meaning, and invitation.

1. Rhythms of Grace: Rest and Surrender in the Unforced Rhythm of Life

“Rhythms of Grace” emerged from a deeply personal place—my own journey of learning to release control and trust Jesus more fully. Inspired by Matthew 11:28–30 (MSG), it reflects the invitation to walk with Him, rest in Him, and learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

The flowing lines and soft movement in this piece are meant to mirror that sense of surrender. A quiet, graceful dance. The muted color palette echoes the stillness I feel when I step back from striving and lean into God’s presence.

I think people are drawn to this print because it feels like an exhale. A visual reminder that rest isn’t just allowed—it’s sacred. And grace really can carry us when we let it.

2. Flowers for Jesús: A Love Letter in Paint

“Flowers for Jesús” will always have a special place in my heart. It came to life in a flash. I walked past an unfinished canvas and suddenly saw it in my mind—vivid, colorful, joyful. I grabbed my pastels and painted it quickly, instinctively, joyfully.

I gifted the final piece to my husband, Jesús, for our seventh wedding anniversary. It felt like him—vibrant, full of life, layered with meaning. I even included his favorite flower: the ranunculus.

At first, it was a private expression. But once I shared it publicly, I was overwhelmed by how many people connected to it. It became more than a personal love letter—it became an offering that others could relate to in their own way. Whether you see it as a symbol of romantic love, deep friendship, or simple joy, I hope it reminds you of how beautiful it is to give and receive love in full color.

3. In the Garden: Finding Peace in Nature’s Embrace

“In the Garden” is one of the newest additions to my collection, and already a community favorite. That’s part of what makes it so special—it was chosen by the people who have been walking this creative journey with me.

The inspiration came from the peace I often find in nature. The spontaneous marks and wild textures resemble a field of tall grass or a garden growing free. But rather than feeling chaotic, there’s a rhythm to it—a softness. It’s the kind of piece that makes you want to slow down, breathe, and linger.

To me, it’s a visual invitation to rest in beauty. To remember that peace is available, even in the midst of the wild.

Where They’re Displayed

One of the greatest honors is hearing where these prints find their home.

  • Rhythms of Grace often becomes a focal point in bedrooms or living rooms, infusing those spaces with stillness and breath.
  • Flowers for Jesús finds its way into kitchens and dining areas—places filled with laughter, connection, and warmth.
  • In the Garden is frequently chosen for entryways or prayer corners, where it creates a quiet welcome or personal sanctuary.

Each one takes on a new life once it leaves the studio—and that’s the beauty of it.

From Studio to Story

What touches me most is knowing these prints carry more than pigment and paper. They carry pieces of my heart—and eventually, they become part of yours.

Art, to me, is not just about aesthetics. It’s about presence. It’s about sharing something soulful and sacred across homes, families, and seasons.
